Drake and Bad Bunny collaborated for the track MIA MIA (2018) as did Madonna and Maluma. Madonna collaborated with Maluma for Medellin, 2019 In 2020, a few Reggaeton performers were expressing displeasure about the direction of the genre toward the mainstream. But a newer generation like Rauw Alejandro was determined to maintain the development. The genre often included elements of electronic dance music and other forms.
