Awkwafina
Awkwafina was initially an American rapper and singer, releasing sly tracks that tackled questions of race and sexual identities with a funny twist. Before expanding to Hollywood the singer was able to make a few songs. Nora Lum, born in Forest Hills Queens to Chinese and Korean immigrants was her first musical encounter. She was a trumpet player. Additionally, she was given the classical and jazz education later becoming a hip-hop teenager. At college, she was studying journalism and women's studies. In addition, she spent an hour studying Mandarin in Beijing. Her focus shifted towards music after she finished her studies. After gaining viral fame through the Internet, her track My Vag was a reaction to the Mickey Avalon song My Dick. It eventually made its way onto the album she released, Yellow Ranger. It also included other popular hits, including the body positive Queef and the winking tour of her hometown NYC Bitche$. The latter track was linked to Awkwafina's NYC, a 2015 travel guide. With musician and author on her resume she determined to pursue acting in a third project. In addition to early series, such Girl Code and Tawk - she was in films Neighbors 2 Storks and Bad Rap. In 2018, she landed an array of noteworthy performances, which included Dude Ocean 8 and Crazy Rich Asians. In June, she debuted her EP "In Fina We Trust".
